Acceptable Use Policy
Safety and responsible-use requirements for applications and API requests sent through JustAPI.
Last updated July 23, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all use of JustAPI. It supplements the Terms of Service and the requirements of each selected model provider.
1. Illegal or harmful activity
You may not use the service to facilitate unlawful activity; exploit, abuse, or endanger people; create or distribute child sexual abuse material; support human trafficking; or meaningfully enable violent wrongdoing.
2. Security abuse
You may not use the service to deploy malware, steal credentials, conduct unauthorized intrusion, evade security controls, disrupt systems, or perform destructive actions without authorization. Legitimate defensive security research must be appropriately scoped and authorized.
3. Fraud and deception
You may not use the service for phishing, impersonation, scams, fraudulent transactions, coordinated inauthentic activity, or deceptive content intended to cause material harm.
4. Privacy and sensitive data
You must have a lawful basis to process personal data. Do not submit secrets, credentials, regulated data, or highly sensitive personal information unless the selected route, your agreement, and your security controls are appropriate for that information.
5. High-impact decisions
Do not use model output as the sole basis for decisions that determine a person’s eligibility, access, or rights in employment, credit, housing, education, insurance, legal services, or healthcare. Appropriate qualified review and legally required safeguards must be used.
6. Platform integrity
You may not bypass rate limits, conceal abusive traffic, scrape protected systems, interfere with monitoring, create accounts to evade enforcement, or misrepresent the origin of requests.
7. Provider policies
You must comply with the usage policies of the selected upstream provider. Where requirements differ, the more restrictive applicable requirement controls.
8. Enforcement
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access; block particular models or routes; preserve relevant records; and cooperate with lawful investigations. When practical and safe, we may request remediation before suspension.
